Hi! I’m Dr. Sharmila Anand, a bestselling author, international consultant, speaker, and a woman leader in the healthcare domain. As Founder and Managing Director of Inspera, I primarily focus on providing Globalisation Strategies to Universities that helps them increase their Reach, Revenue, and Ranking.

I have worked closely with organizations in the Healthcare space, which include the likes of GE Healthcare, Healthcare Sector Skills Council, TATA Trust, and many leading medical universities in India like Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Saveetha Medical College, SRM Medical College, and Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College.

My main focus lies in creating Globalisation Strategies & Opportunities with international institutions like the University of Colorado USA, HULL University UK, Global Educational Services Taitaja with XAMK ( South-Eastern Finland University of Apples Sciences) Finland.

I’m actively involved in Rotary and sit on the board of directors at the African Healing Foundation.

I believe strongly that education should be global and experiential, which is why I have spearheaded the cross-cultural study abroad initiative to achieve global learning for healthcare students and mentored over 20,000 students across a wide spectrum of undergraduate, postgraduate students and executives, from 42 different countries.

I proudly represented India at the 70th World Health Assembly, Geneva Switzerland by being one of 13 women to receive the Heroine of Health Award for bringing more women into the Global healthcare sector.

A documentary on my work directed by Emmy Award-Winning Director Lisa Russell was premiered there as well. I was awarded a scholarship by Stanford University & the London School of Tropical Medicine for outstanding contributions to global health.

I was conferred a Special Recognition Award by the Female Leaders Academy for Medicine and Entrepreneurship (FAME) at Colombo, Sri Lanka, the Healthcare Excellence Award by IIM- Lucknow & Med Achievers.

I’ve been featured on Forbes India and have been recognized as a top professional in global learning by ABC, Fox & NBC. Some of my Keynotes addresses include Stanford University, London School of Tropical Medicine, University of Colorado, AIIMS, IIM, IIT, ISB.
